Returns & Refunds

Cancel any time before your order ships for a full refund, free of charge. Custom and made-to-order products are put into production for your specific order, so all sales are final on those items.

You have 30 days from the date you receive an item to start a return — email support@roboticsselect.com or call (412) 415-7375. Products must be returned unopened and unused. Some brands set their own return terms, and the brand-specific policy on the product page overrides the general 30-day window; if the manufacturer will not permit a return, we cannot offer one.

Outright returns after shipment incur a 25% cancellation fee plus return shipping, and manufacturer restocking fees (usually around 20%) may also apply — return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. Refunds go to your original payment method and are processed within 10 days of our receiving the returned product.

Inspect the package when it arrives: note any damage when signing for delivery and send photos to support@roboticsselect.com within 24 hours — freight damage claims are not valid after 24 hours.

Standard curbside delivery is always completely free. Most orders ship out within 1-5 business days, and delivery takes 5-8 business days once shipped (estimated delivery 6-13 business days). All shipping times are estimates and can vary by brand, especially for made-to-order items.

Orders ship fully tracked via USPS, UPS, or FedEx, and we email your tracking information within 24 hours of the order leaving the warehouse. If tracking hasn't arrived within six business days of ordering, contact support@roboticsselect.com.

Upgraded delivery options are also available: Threshold Shipping brings the item onto your porch or into a sheltered/garage area, and White Glove Delivery brings it into your room of choice, includes minor assembly, and removes all packaging.

We do not ship outside the USA, with limited exceptions — if checkout accepts your shipping address, we can deliver to it.

What does the Lite3 LiDAR include over the Basic?

The Lite3 LiDAR ships ready-to-use with hardware the Basic lacks: a Livox or Leishen LiDAR module for 3D mapping, an onboard NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX perception computer, a factory-installed Intel RealSense D435i depth camera, and additional hardware interfaces (USB 3.0, HDMI, Ethernet, and external power). It also adds forward obstacle avoidance and the Auto Mode for autonomous navigation, with Faster-LIO SLAM and the Nav2 navigation stack pre-configured. The chassis, motors, locomotion controller, and 28.8 V, 4.4 Ah battery are the same as the Basic. Pick the Lite3 LiDAR if you want perception and onboard compute working out of the box.

What perception capabilities are pre-configured?

The forward-facing Intel RealSense D435i depth camera feeds a forward obstacle-avoidance function that steers around obstacles in the robot's path, while the wide-angle camera and front and rear ultrasonic radars provide obstacle auto-stop in both directions. LiDAR and RGB-D point clouds are published on standard ROS topics. The factory image includes pre-configured Faster-LIO SLAM that builds a 3D map from the LiDAR as the robot walks. Visual following and YOLOv8-based people tracking are provided as demo applications.

Can it autonomously navigate a building?

Yes for goal-based navigation in mapped environments, using the LiDAR-exclusive Auto Mode. Build a map by driving the robot through the space once with the pre-configured Faster-LIO SLAM. After that, send goal poses to the navigation stack (move_base on ROS 1, Nav2 on ROS 2) and the Lite3 LiDAR plans paths, follows them, and avoids dynamic obstacles with its local planner. Exploring and navigating an unmapped building with no prior map is not a factory feature; you would build that on top of the SLAM and navigation stack yourself.

What is the maximum speed and range?

Maximum walking speed is 8.2 ft/s (2.5 m/s) on flat ground. Practical speed during autonomous navigation is well below that so obstacle avoidance has time to react. Deep Robotics does not publish a control range for the included controller; keep the robot within line of sight, or send commands over a network link from your own development host. Operating range per battery is approximately 1.7 miles (2.7 km) on flat terrain, lower than the lighter configurations because of the LiDAR package.

Can it climb stairs and descend slopes safely?

Yes. Stair climbing is rated for steps up to 5.9 inches (15 cm), or 7.1 inches (18 cm) in AI Motion Mode, and slopes up to 40 degrees are rated using the Grip gait. The robot uses its IMU and joint torques to detect step edges. For unfamiliar staircases, switch to the H-Step gait, which is intended for higher steps, and test at low speed with a spotter before running the full flight.

Is it weatherproof for outdoor inspection?

DeepRobotics does not publish an official IP rating for the Lite3 LiDAR. The manufacturer's manual advises against operating it in rain, snow, or wet or humid conditions and warns that moisture intrusion can cause damage. Treat it as a dry-environment platform: wipe away any incidental moisture promptly, avoid standing water and sustained precipitation, and store it dry.

How does it integrate with existing inspection software?

The Lite3 LiDAR publishes camera feeds, LiDAR point clouds, joint states, and IMU data on standard ROS 1 or ROS 2 topics, and the motion host exposes a UDP interface. Inspection platforms that consume ROS topics can be wired in directly. Deep Robotics does not publish pre-built MQTT, REST, cloud, or historian connectors for the Lite3, so bridging to those systems is Python or C++ development on the Jetson.

What is the payload capacity with sensors mounted?

Rated continuous walking load is 5.5 lb (2.5 kg) distributed across the back deck, the lowest in the Lite3 line because the LiDAR, camera, and Jetson package already add weight; that figure is the budget available for additional equipment. Mount points are M5 threaded inserts. Off-center loads reduce stair-climbing capability, so balance them as best you can.

How long does the battery last in real-world inspection use?

Continuous walking runtime is approximately 1.5 to 2 hours per charge; running the camera and SLAM continuously sits toward the lower end. Charging from empty takes about 40 minutes to 1 hour. The battery is hot-swappable and a second battery is sold separately. For long shifts, plan on battery rotation through the charger.

Does it work with third-party robotic arms?

Only within the 5.5 lb (2.5 kg) payload limit, which rules out most arms; a very light arm is possible. The Lite3 LiDAR has Ethernet and USB 3.0 ports and 24 V, 12 V, and 5 V external power outputs that can power a small arm directly. The combined system requires you to coordinate the arm controller with the locomotion controller through ROS, since the two ship separately.

What is the warranty?

12-month manufacturer warranty on the electronics, including the control system, the Jetson compute module, the LiDAR, and the factory-installed camera and radars, from the date of delivery. The joints, legs, and battery are covered for 6 months, reduced to 3 months once AI Motion Mode is unlocked. The shell, accessories, and normal wear on consumable parts are not covered. RoboticsSelect handles all warranty claims as the authorized dealer.
