Most products can be returned within 30 days of delivery in original, unused condition with all packaging, accessories, and documentation included. Certain manufacturers impose stricter return terms on specialty robotics hardware; the specific policy for each product is listed on its product page.

To start a return, email support@roboticsselect.com with your order number and the reason. We issue a Return Authorization (RA) number within one business day. Unauthorized returns may be refused at our discretion.

Damaged-on-arrival and defective units qualify for free return shipping and full refunds. Elective returns (changed your mind, wrong model) are subject to manufacturer restocking fees ranging from 0% to 25% and customer-paid return shipping. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days of receiving the returned item.

Shipping & Delivery

Every product ships free to the 48 contiguous United States with no order minimum, including oversized and heavy items.

Smaller items (robotic kits, accessories, pool skimmers) ship via FedEx, UPS, or USPS with email tracking sent at dispatch.

Larger items (robotic lawn mowers, humanoid and quadruped robots) ship via LTL freight on pallets. The freight carrier calls 24-48 hours before delivery to schedule a 4-hour window, Monday through Friday. Freight shipments are curbside delivery only; drivers will not move the product into your home, garage, or yard.

Inspect every shipment within 48 hours of delivery. For freight shipments, note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing: this is critical for processing freight claims if needed.

International shipping, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are not included in standard free shipping. Email support@roboticsselect.com for a custom quote to these destinations.

What does this kit include?

An UltraArm robotic arm, a motorized conveyor belt with adjustable speed, a vision camera, sample sorting objects in multiple colors and shapes, the necessary cables and power supplies, and pre-configured software for color-based and shape-based sorting demonstrations. It is a turn-key sorting demonstration setup.

Can it sort objects out of the box without programming?

Yes. Pre-loaded demonstrations sort by color and basic shape using the included sample objects. Plug in power, connect the camera, and run the demo from the included launcher. Suitable for trade-show demonstrations, classroom intro sessions, and as a baseline for student projects.

Can students train it to recognize new objects?

Yes. Through the included AI training tools, students can capture training images for new object classes, retrain a small classifier on the included laptop, and have the arm sort the new objects. Typical training time per new class is 15 to 30 minutes including image capture and training.

What is the throughput of the sorting cell?

Approximately 8 to 12 objects per minute depending on object detection speed and arm cycle time. This is a teaching demonstration, not an industrial production rate. For real industrial sorting, dedicated machine-vision systems achieve much higher throughput.

How big is the workspace?

The conveyor is approximately 60 cm (23.6 inches) long. The arm has 280 mm (11.0 inches) reach and is positioned to cover the picking zone at one end of the conveyor. Total footprint is roughly 80 cm (31.5 inches) by 50 cm (19.7 inches); fits on a standard classroom desk.

What is the warranty?

12-month manufacturer warranty on arm and conveyor. Wear items (conveyor belt rubber, gripper pads) are warranted 6 months. RoboticsSelect handles warranty claims as authorized dealer.

Does it work with custom objects students bring in?

Yes within size limits. The gripper handles objects up to approximately 6 cm (2.4 inches) in any dimension and 200 g in weight. Objects need a flat-ish bottom to sit on the conveyor. Very small (<1 cm (0.4 inches)) or very large objects need either gripper modifications or custom code.

Can it integrate with other robotics curricula?

Yes. The same UltraArm and software ecosystem is used in other Elephant Robotics products, so a school standardizing on this product line can build a multi-year curriculum that progresses from sorting cells to mobile manipulation. The Python SDK is the common thread.
