The LIMO Cobot is an autonomous compound mobile robot platform jointly developed by Elephant Robotics and AgileX Robotics. It integrates three core capabilities—mobility, collaboration, and intelligence—into a single desktop-sized system designed for education, competitions, and training applications.
The platform combines two complementary subsystems: the myCobot 280 M5, a compact 6-axis collaborative robotic arm weighing just 850g with a 250g payload and 280mm effective working radius, and the LIMO PRO, an advanced mobile base featuring 4 hub motors with 4 switchable steering modes.
The LIMO PRO incorporates powerful sensor hardware including an NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano processor, EAI T-mini Pro LiDAR, Orbbec Dabai depth camera, and integrated IMU. These enable autonomous navigation, obstacle avoidance, SLAM mapping, mobile grasping, and visual recognition.
The system's unique 4 steering modes (Ackermann, four-wheel differential, tracked, and omni-directional) adapt to different terrains. The myCobot arm supports various end effectors for precise mobile grasping. The entire system runs on ROS 2 with support for Gazebo, RViz, and Nav2.
