Returns & Refunds

Cancel any time before your order ships for a full refund, free of charge. Custom and made-to-order products are put into production for your specific order, so all sales are final on those items.

You have 30 days from the date you receive an item to start a return — email support@roboticsselect.com or call (412) 415-7375. Products must be returned unopened and unused. Some brands set their own return terms, and the brand-specific policy on the product page overrides the general 30-day window; if the manufacturer will not permit a return, we cannot offer one.

Outright returns after shipment incur a 25% cancellation fee plus return shipping, and manufacturer restocking fees (usually around 20%) may also apply — return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. Refunds go to your original payment method and are processed within 10 days of our receiving the returned product.

Inspect the package when it arrives: note any damage when signing for delivery and send photos to support@roboticsselect.com within 24 hours — freight damage claims are not valid after 24 hours.

Standard curbside delivery is always completely free. Most orders ship out within 1-5 business days, and delivery takes 5-8 business days once shipped (estimated delivery 6-13 business days). All shipping times are estimates and can vary by brand, especially for made-to-order items.

Orders ship fully tracked via USPS, UPS, or FedEx, and we email your tracking information within 24 hours of the order leaving the warehouse. If tracking hasn't arrived within six business days of ordering, contact support@roboticsselect.com.

Upgraded delivery options are also available: Threshold Shipping brings the item onto your porch or into a sheltered/garage area, and White Glove Delivery brings it into your room of choice, includes minor assembly, and removes all packaging.

We do not ship outside the USA, with limited exceptions — if checkout accepts your shipping address, we can deliver to it.

What does this kit include?

An ultraArm P340 robotic arm, a motorized conveyor belt, the necessary cables and power supplies, mounting hardware and tools, and Elephant Robotics' open-source sorting programs and tutorials. Elephant's sorting-kit configuration also pairs the arm with a USB camera, a suction pump and recognition blocks; contact us to confirm the exact contents of the current kit. It is a desktop sorting demonstration setup.

Can it sort objects out of the box without programming?

Mostly. Elephant Robotics provides open-source Python sorting programs (color recognition and QR code sorting) with the kit documentation. After installing the software on your own PC (a PC is not included), plug in power, connect the camera, and run the demo scripts. Suitable for trade-show demonstrations, classroom intro sessions, and as a baseline for student projects.

Can students train it to recognize new objects?

Yes. The sorting programs are open-source Python, so students can extend the color-recognition and QR code examples to new objects with OpenCV on their own PC and have the arm sort them. No AI training tools or laptop are included; training time depends on the approach the class takes.

What is the throughput of the sorting cell?

Elephant Robotics does not publish a sorting rate; throughput depends on object detection speed and arm cycle time (the ultraArm P340 has a maximum end speed of 100 mm/s and the conveyor runs at up to 0.5 m/s). This is a teaching demonstration, not an industrial production rate. For real industrial sorting, dedicated machine-vision systems achieve much higher throughput.

How big is the workspace?

The conveyor is 31.5 inches (800 mm) long and 3.9 inches (100 mm) wide. The arm has a 13.4-inch (340 mm) working radius, sits on an A5-sized footprint, and is positioned to cover the picking zone at one end of the conveyor. The whole setup fits on a standard classroom desk.

What is the warranty?

12-month manufacturer warranty on the mechanical structure, power supply system and control system. Normal wear on consumable parts (conveyor belt surface, gripper pads) is not covered. RoboticsSelect handles warranty claims as authorized dealer.

Does it work with custom objects students bring in?

Yes within size limits. Elephant's sorting programs are written around 1.2-inch (3 cm) recognition blocks, the conveyor is rated for 500 g, and the arm's payload is 650 g (1.4 lb). Objects need a flat-ish bottom to sit on the conveyor. Very small or very large objects need either a different end effector or custom code.

Can it integrate with other robotics curricula?

Yes. The same UltraArm and software ecosystem is used in other Elephant Robotics products, so a school standardizing on this product line can build a multi-year curriculum that progresses from sorting cells to mobile manipulation. The Python SDK is the common thread.
