Price Match Guarantee

At RoboticsSelect, you should never have to choose between the right product and the right price. We match competitor pricing on every product in our catalog, and for orders over $2,000, we will beat the lowest verified price by $50.

To request a price match, send a screenshot or link to support@roboticsselect.com showing the lower price at any authorized online retailer. We respond within one business day.

A few requirements: the competitor must be an authorized dealer, the product must be in stock on their site, and the comparison includes shipping but excludes sales tax. Auction sites, marketplace third-party sellers, and one-day holiday promotions (Black Friday, Cyber Monday) are excluded.

Returns & Refunds

Most products can be returned within 30 days of delivery in original, unused condition with all packaging, accessories, and documentation included. Certain manufacturers impose stricter return terms on specialty robotics hardware; the specific policy for each product is listed on its product page.

To start a return, email support@roboticsselect.com with your order number and the reason. We issue a Return Authorization (RA) number within one business day. Unauthorized returns may be refused at our discretion.

Damaged-on-arrival and defective units qualify for free return shipping and full refunds. Elective returns (changed your mind, wrong model) are subject to manufacturer restocking fees ranging from 0% to 25% and customer-paid return shipping. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days of receiving the returned item.

Shipping & Delivery

Every product ships free to the 48 contiguous United States with no order minimum, including oversized and heavy items.

Smaller items (robotic kits, accessories, pool skimmers) ship via FedEx, UPS, or USPS with email tracking sent at dispatch.

Larger items (robotic lawn mowers, humanoid and quadruped robots) ship via LTL freight on pallets. The freight carrier calls 24-48 hours before delivery to schedule a 4-hour window, Monday through Friday. Freight shipments are curbside delivery only; drivers will not move the product into your home, garage, or yard.

Inspect every shipment within 48 hours of delivery. For freight shipments, note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing: this is critical for processing freight claims if needed.

International shipping, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are not included in standard free shipping. Email support@roboticsselect.com for a custom quote to these destinations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the AI Hub Development Kit?

A complete educational platform centered on the xFactory Brain board (a Raspberry Pi-derived AI compute module), bundled with a robotic arm, a vision camera, sample objects, and an extensive curriculum textbook covering AI development from the algorithmic level through deployment on real hardware. Aimed at upper-secondary through undergraduate AI courses.

What is the xFactory Brain?

A custom AI compute module based on a Raspberry Pi-class processor with additional sensors and a robotics-friendly I/O layout. It runs Linux and supports TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch Mobile, and OpenCV. Designed as the 'brain' of student-built AI projects: the student writes the AI logic on the Brain, which controls connected hardware.

Can students do real AI development with it or just use pre-built models?

Real AI development. Students train their own models (image classifiers, simple object detectors, basic NLP) using TensorFlow or PyTorch on a host laptop, then deploy the trained model to the xFactory Brain for inference. This teaches the full AI development cycle: data collection, training, optimization, and deployment.

What classroom topics does the textbook cover?

Twenty chapters: image classification, object detection, audio classification, basic NLP, reinforcement learning intro, sensor fusion, edge deployment, model optimization (quantization, pruning), bias and fairness, and applied projects. Suitable for a full year of AI elective coursework.

How does it tie into the robotic arm?

The xFactory Brain controls the included arm directly through the WLKATA SDK. AI-driven projects let students wire any of the AI capabilities (object detection, pose recognition, voice command) into arm motion. Sample projects include voice-controlled pick-and-place, gesture-controlled drawing, and AI-trained sorting.

Is the kit suitable for students with no prior programming experience?

Yes for the basic introductory chapters which use block-based programming and pre-trained models. Mid-textbook chapters require Python familiarity. Final chapters assume comfort with linear algebra and basic statistics. The textbook is designed to be the student's first AI text but expects 9th-grade math as prerequisite.

What ongoing costs are there?

None for the standard curriculum. All software is free and open source. The xFactory Brain runs offline. Optional cloud-based extensions for distributed training require school cloud accounts but are explicitly optional.

Does it require teacher training?

Recommended but not required. The textbook is detailed enough that a competent technology teacher with basic Python experience can lead the class without specialized AI training. WLKATA offers paid teacher-training workshops; recordings are available free.

What is the warranty?

12-month warranty on the Brain board and accessories. Software updates provided free for 24 months. RoboticsSelect handles warranty service.
