Price Match Guarantee

At RoboticsSelect, you should never have to choose between the right product and the right price. We match competitor pricing on every product in our catalog, and for orders over $2,000, we will beat the lowest verified price by $50.

To request a price match, send a screenshot or link to support@roboticsselect.com showing the lower price at any authorized online retailer. We respond within one business day.

A few requirements: the competitor must be an authorized dealer, the product must be in stock on their site, and the comparison includes shipping but excludes sales tax. Auction sites, marketplace third-party sellers, and one-day holiday promotions (Black Friday, Cyber Monday) are excluded.

Returns & Refunds

Most products can be returned within 30 days of delivery in original, unused condition with all packaging, accessories, and documentation included. Certain manufacturers impose stricter return terms on specialty robotics hardware; the specific policy for each product is listed on its product page.

To start a return, email support@roboticsselect.com with your order number and the reason. We issue a Return Authorization (RA) number within one business day. Unauthorized returns may be refused at our discretion.

Damaged-on-arrival and defective units qualify for free return shipping and full refunds. Elective returns (changed your mind, wrong model) are subject to manufacturer restocking fees ranging from 0% to 25% and customer-paid return shipping. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days of receiving the returned item.

Shipping & Delivery

Every product ships free to the 48 contiguous United States with no order minimum, including oversized and heavy items.

Smaller items (robotic kits, accessories, pool skimmers) ship via FedEx, UPS, or USPS with email tracking sent at dispatch.

Larger items (robotic lawn mowers, humanoid and quadruped robots) ship via LTL freight on pallets. The freight carrier calls 24-48 hours before delivery to schedule a 4-hour window, Monday through Friday. Freight shipments are curbside delivery only; drivers will not move the product into your home, garage, or yard.

Inspect every shipment within 48 hours of delivery. For freight shipments, note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing: this is critical for processing freight claims if needed.

International shipping, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are not included in standard free shipping. Email support@roboticsselect.com for a custom quote to these destinations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Fruit Picking Cell?

A complete educational demonstration of agricultural automation: a Mirobot arm with a soft gripper, a sample tree with realistic fruit replicas in varying colors and ripeness states, an AI vision camera, a touchscreen interface for student interaction, and pre-configured software that detects ripe fruit and picks it autonomously. A turn-key teaching kit.

Is the soft gripper necessary?

Yes for fruit-handling demonstrations. A standard hard parallel gripper would crush soft fruit. The included pneumatic soft gripper applies gentle, distributed force suitable for tomatoes, strawberries, and similar produce. The same gripper handles non-fruit demonstrations safely as well.

How does the AI determine ripeness?

A small convolutional classifier trained on color and texture features. Ripe fruit (red, full color, smooth skin) is identified versus unripe (green, partial color, varied texture). The classifier runs on a connected laptop and feeds picking commands to the arm. Students can retrain the classifier for different fruit types.

What does the touchscreen interface do?

Real-time student interaction: shows what the AI is seeing, lets students manually approve or override picking decisions, displays statistics on picks-per-minute and accuracy, and provides a curriculum-aligned guided exercise mode. Students can also manually control the arm through the touchscreen for free-exploration sessions.

Is this a demonstration or a real research platform?

Demonstration. The fruit replicas are static, the lighting is controlled, and the picking pattern is simplified. Real agricultural fruit-picking is a much harder problem (varying lighting, occlusions, fruit cluster geometry, time pressure). Use this as a teaching tool to introduce concepts; real research uses different platforms.

Can students train it on different fruits or just the included ones?

Both. The included fruit replicas are red apple, green apple, tomato, strawberry, and yellow lemon. Students can add new types by capturing training images on their own (real or replica fruit) and retraining the classifier. The retraining workflow takes 30 to 60 minutes including image capture.

What curriculum topics does it cover?

Agricultural automation basics, soft robotics, computer-vision-based decision making, AI ethics in agriculture (job displacement, water and chemical use), and integration of mechanical, vision, and AI systems. Suitable for upper-secondary or community-college agricultural-technology programs.

How big is the cell?

Approximately 1 m by 1 m footprint with the tree mockup, plus 0.5 m of clearance for the arm motion. Touchscreen and laptop add another 0.4 m. Total recommended workspace is 1.5 m by 1.5 m. Fits in most standard classroom or training-lab settings.

What is the warranty?

12-month warranty on the Mirobot, soft gripper, AI camera, and touchscreen. Sample fruit replicas and consumables are wear items not covered. RoboticsSelect handles warranty service through the authorized channel.

Does it include a curriculum guide?

Yes. 12 lesson modules covering agricultural automation, soft robotics, AI vision, ethics, and a capstone project where students design their own picking strategy. Aligned to common agricultural-technology educational standards.
