Most products can be returned within 30 days of delivery in original, unused condition with all packaging, accessories, and documentation included. Certain manufacturers impose stricter return terms on specialty robotics hardware; the specific policy for each product is listed on its product page.

To start a return, email support@roboticsselect.com with your order number and the reason. We issue a Return Authorization (RA) number within one business day. Unauthorized returns may be refused at our discretion.

Damaged-on-arrival and defective units qualify for free return shipping and full refunds. Elective returns (changed your mind, wrong model) are subject to manufacturer restocking fees ranging from 0% to 25% and customer-paid return shipping. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days of receiving the returned item.

Shipping & Delivery

Every product ships free to the 48 contiguous United States with no order minimum, including oversized and heavy items.

Smaller items (robotic kits, accessories, pool skimmers) ship via FedEx, UPS, or USPS with email tracking sent at dispatch.

Larger items (robotic lawn mowers, humanoid and quadruped robots) ship via LTL freight on pallets. The freight carrier calls 24-48 hours before delivery to schedule a 4-hour window, Monday through Friday. Freight shipments are curbside delivery only; drivers will not move the product into your home, garage, or yard.

Inspect every shipment within 48 hours of delivery. For freight shipments, note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing: this is critical for processing freight claims if needed.

International shipping, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are not included in standard free shipping. Email support@roboticsselect.com for a custom quote to these destinations.

What does the AI Automatic Sorting Line solution include?

A WLKATA robotic arm, a motorized conveyor belt, an AI machine-vision module with calibrated camera, sorting bins, sample objects of varied colors and shapes, and pre-configured software with multiple working sorting demonstrations including color-based, shape-based, and AI-trained custom sorting.

Can it sort objects right out of the box without setup?

Yes. Pre-loaded demonstrations work immediately on the included sample objects. Plug in power, connect the laptop, run the launcher, and the line begins sorting. Useful for trade-show demonstrations and first-day classroom intros while students learn to customize the system.

How are 'AI-trained' sorting tasks different from rule-based ones?

Color-based and basic shape sorting use deterministic image processing. AI-trained sorting uses a small convolutional neural network that students train on a custom dataset of objects. The AI approach generalizes to objects with varied lighting, partial occlusion, and unusual colors that fixed rules struggle with.

How long does training a new AI sorting class take?

Capturing 100 sample images per class: about 10 minutes. Training the model on the included laptop: about 5 to 10 minutes. Validation and tuning: about 15 minutes. Total time from new objects to working sorting: roughly 30 to 45 minutes per object class.

What is the throughput?

8 to 12 objects per minute through the system. This is teaching-grade throughput, not industrial production rates. Real production sorting machines run 100+ objects per minute with dedicated industrial vision hardware.

How big is the system?

Approximately 1.2 m by 0.6 m footprint. Conveyor length 60 cm (23.6 inches). Total height with arm fully extended is about 0.5 m. Designed to fit on a standard 6-foot lab table with room for the laptop and student workspace.

Does it require an internet connection?

No. All training and inference run locally on the included laptop. Offline operation is the default mode. An optional cloud-backup feature for trained models requires internet but is not needed for normal use.
