Price Match Guarantee

At RoboticsSelect, you should never have to choose between the right product and the right price. We match competitor pricing on every product in our catalog, and for orders over $2,000, we will beat the lowest verified price by $50.

To request a price match, send a screenshot or link to support@roboticsselect.com showing the lower price at any authorized online retailer. We respond within one business day.

A few requirements: the competitor must be an authorized dealer, the product must be in stock on their site, and the comparison includes shipping but excludes sales tax. Auction sites, marketplace third-party sellers, and one-day holiday promotions (Black Friday, Cyber Monday) are excluded.

Returns & Refunds

Most products can be returned within 30 days of delivery in original, unused condition with all packaging, accessories, and documentation included. Certain manufacturers impose stricter return terms on specialty robotics hardware; the specific policy for each product is listed on its product page.

To start a return, email support@roboticsselect.com with your order number and the reason. We issue a Return Authorization (RA) number within one business day. Unauthorized returns may be refused at our discretion.

Damaged-on-arrival and defective units qualify for free return shipping and full refunds. Elective returns (changed your mind, wrong model) are subject to manufacturer restocking fees ranging from 0% to 25% and customer-paid return shipping. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days of receiving the returned item.

Shipping & Delivery

Every product ships free to the 48 contiguous United States with no order minimum, including oversized and heavy items.

Smaller items (robotic kits, accessories, pool skimmers) ship via FedEx, UPS, or USPS with email tracking sent at dispatch.

Larger items (robotic lawn mowers, humanoid and quadruped robots) ship via LTL freight on pallets. The freight carrier calls 24-48 hours before delivery to schedule a 4-hour window, Monday through Friday. Freight shipments are curbside delivery only; drivers will not move the product into your home, garage, or yard.

Inspect every shipment within 48 hours of delivery. For freight shipments, note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing: this is critical for processing freight claims if needed.

International shipping, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are not included in standard free shipping. Email support@roboticsselect.com for a custom quote to these destinations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the textbook cover?

ROS 2 Humble integration with the WLKATA Mirobot 6-axis arm. Eighteen chapters covering ROS 2 fundamentals (nodes, topics, services, actions), URDF modeling, MoveIt motion planning, simulation in Gazebo, perception integration, and capstone projects combining all topics. Approximately 280 pages.

What prerequisites does it assume?

Basic Python (loops, functions, classes), basic Linux command line (file navigation, package installation), and exposure to robotics concepts (degrees of freedom, kinematics) at the introductory level. No prior ROS experience is needed; the book starts from ROS 2 installation.

Does it require the Mirobot to follow along?

The book is designed around hands-on Mirobot exercises. Chapters 1-6 (introduction, ROS 2 setup, Gazebo simulation) can be completed without hardware. Chapter 7 onward requires the actual arm to verify the simulated work. About 60 percent of exercises require hardware.

Is it suitable for self-study or only classroom use?

Both. The book has both classroom-oriented chapter exercises with discussion questions and self-study-oriented hands-on projects with worked solutions. Many students complete it solo over a semester. Recommended pacing is one chapter per week.

Are there worked solutions for the exercises?

Yes for most exercises. End-of-chapter exercises are split into 'practice' (worked solutions provided) and 'project' (open-ended, no solutions). The split lets students self-check the basics and challenge themselves on the projects. Solution code is available on the book's GitHub repository.
