Price Match Guarantee

At RoboticsSelect, you should never have to choose between the right product and the right price. We match competitor pricing on every product in our catalog, and for orders over $2,000, we will beat the lowest verified price by $50.

To request a price match, send a screenshot or link to support@roboticsselect.com showing the lower price at any authorized online retailer. We respond within one business day.

A few requirements: the competitor must be an authorized dealer, the product must be in stock on their site, and the comparison includes shipping but excludes sales tax. Auction sites, marketplace third-party sellers, and one-day holiday promotions (Black Friday, Cyber Monday) are excluded.

Returns & Refunds

Most products can be returned within 30 days of delivery in original, unused condition with all packaging, accessories, and documentation included. Certain manufacturers impose stricter return terms on specialty robotics hardware; the specific policy for each product is listed on its product page.

To start a return, email support@roboticsselect.com with your order number and the reason. We issue a Return Authorization (RA) number within one business day. Unauthorized returns may be refused at our discretion.

Damaged-on-arrival and defective units qualify for free return shipping and full refunds. Elective returns (changed your mind, wrong model) are subject to manufacturer restocking fees ranging from 0% to 25% and customer-paid return shipping. Refunds are processed to the original payment method within 5-10 business days of receiving the returned item.

Shipping & Delivery

Every product ships free to the 48 contiguous United States with no order minimum, including oversized and heavy items.

Smaller items (robotic kits, accessories, pool skimmers) ship via FedEx, UPS, or USPS with email tracking sent at dispatch.

Larger items (robotic lawn mowers, humanoid and quadruped robots) ship via LTL freight on pallets. The freight carrier calls 24-48 hours before delivery to schedule a 4-hour window, Monday through Friday. Freight shipments are curbside delivery only; drivers will not move the product into your home, garage, or yard.

Inspect every shipment within 48 hours of delivery. For freight shipments, note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing: this is critical for processing freight claims if needed.

International shipping, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are not included in standard free shipping. Email support@roboticsselect.com for a custom quote to these destinations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is in the AI Vision Set?

An OpenMV machine-vision camera, a calibrated mounting bracket compatible with WLKATA arms, sample objects for training, sample QR codes and ArUco markers, all required cables, and a comprehensive textbook covering machine vision from first principles through deployed AI applications. Designed for upper-secondary and undergraduate AI courses.

Why OpenMV instead of a regular USB camera?

OpenMV is a self-contained machine-vision module with an onboard MicroPython interpreter. It runs vision code directly on the camera module, returning results (object positions, color matches, marker IDs) over a serial link rather than sending raw video to a host computer. This teaches students about edge AI: real-world deployments often run vision on small embedded devices, not on full PCs.

What can students do with it out of the box?

Pre-loaded examples include color tracking, AprilTag and ArUco marker detection, QR code reading, basic shape recognition, and a small pretrained object classifier. Each example runs as a standalone MicroPython script. Students can modify any example by editing the script through the included IDE.

Can students train their own object classifiers?

Yes. The OpenMV camera supports a small CNN model called MobileNet that can be trained on a host computer with Edge Impulse (cloud) or TensorFlow (local) and then flashed to the camera. Typical training size: 200 to 500 images per class. Inference runs at approximately 5 frames per second on the camera.

How does it integrate with WLKATA arms?

The mounting bracket attaches to the wrist of any WLKATA arm. The camera's serial output feeds into the arm's control software through the included Python integration library. Visual servoing examples are included: the arm moves to center detected objects in the camera frame, then grasps them.

Does the textbook teach machine learning theory or just practical use?

Both. The textbook starts with image processing fundamentals (pixel operations, filters, edge detection) and progresses through classical machine vision (template matching, feature detection) to modern deep learning (CNNs, transfer learning). Each chapter has hands-on exercises using the included camera. Suitable as a standalone semester text.

What programming languages are required?

MicroPython on the camera (a subset of Python). Standard Python 3 on the host computer for examples that involve a paired arm. Some chapters include comparable C++ code for students who want to compare languages. No prior Python experience is assumed; the textbook includes a Python primer in chapter 1.

Is the camera durable in a classroom setting?

Yes. The camera is a small PCB module in a protective case. Drop tests indicate it survives normal student handling. The lens is replaceable if scratched. The mounting bracket is anodized aluminum. Total kit cost is low enough that classroom replacement is straightforward if needed.

What is the warranty?

12-month warranty on the camera and bracket. Textbooks are non-returnable. RoboticsSelect handles warranty service through the authorized channel.
