What does the camera on the Vision models actually add?
The C2 Vision and M2 Vision carry a forward-facing AI camera with an onboard visual algorithm. Its headline feature is Dirt Hunting: instead of sweeping the whole floor blind, the cleaner identifies where debris is concentrated and targets those areas - WYBOT rates AI Vision floor mode at up to 20 times faster for spot cleaning. The camera also improves obstacle avoidance. It is debris detection rather than full 3D pool mapping, and it works best in reasonably clear water.
Can I run a WYBOT without the app?
Yes. Every model starts a default cycle from the power button, and the S2 offers three modes selectable on the unit itself. The A1 has no app at all - it is deliberately a one-button machine. The WYBOT app (Wi-Fi) adds mode and route selection, weekly scheduling of up to four cleanings, and over-the-air firmware updates on the app-connected models.
