Returns & Refunds

Cancel any time before your order ships for a full refund, free of charge. Custom and made-to-order products are put into production for your specific order, so all sales are final on those items.

You have 30 days from the date you receive an item to start a return — email support@roboticsselect.com or call (412) 415-7375. Products must be returned unopened and unused. Some brands set their own return terms, and the brand-specific policy on the product page overrides the general 30-day window; if the manufacturer will not permit a return, we cannot offer one.

Outright returns after shipment incur a 25% cancellation fee plus return shipping, and manufacturer restocking fees (usually around 20%) may also apply — return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility. Refunds go to your original payment method and are processed within 10 days of our receiving the returned product.

Inspect the package when it arrives: note any damage when signing for delivery and send photos to support@roboticsselect.com within 24 hours — freight damage claims are not valid after 24 hours.

Standard curbside delivery is always completely free. Most orders ship out within 1-5 business days, and delivery takes 5-8 business days once shipped (estimated delivery 6-13 business days). All shipping times are estimates and can vary by brand, especially for made-to-order items.

Orders ship fully tracked via USPS, UPS, or FedEx, and we email your tracking information within 24 hours of the order leaving the warehouse. If tracking hasn't arrived within six business days of ordering, contact support@roboticsselect.com.

Upgraded delivery options are also available: Threshold Shipping brings the item onto your porch or into a sheltered/garage area, and White Glove Delivery brings it into your room of choice, includes minor assembly, and removes all packaging.

We do not ship outside the USA, with limited exceptions — if checkout accepts your shipping address, we can deliver to it.

Does the AGV Rover Set come with a Mirobot, or is the arm sold separately?

The Rover Set includes the vehicle, battery, extender box, and mounting hardware, but the Mirobot robotic arm is sold separately unless explicitly listed as a bundle. The extender box and deck are designed to integrate with the Mirobot's 290 x 220 x 85 mm footprint; pricing and SKU configuration vary by retailer.

Can the rover move with the Mirobot fully assembled on top?

Yes. The 10 kg maximum payload accommodates the Mirobot (approximately 2-3 kg with end effector and pedestal) plus additional sensors and student-added accessories. The omnidirectional mecanum drive provides stable motion under typical educational payloads on indoor flat surfaces.

What surfaces does the rover work on?

The mecanum wheels are designed for hard indoor floors: vinyl, polished concrete, hardwood, low-pile carpet, and tile. Carpeting reduces lateral translation efficiency; thick rugs or outdoor surfaces (gravel, grass) are not supported. For classroom and lab deployment, a marked floor area of at least 3 x 3 meters is recommended for full motion exercises.

Can multiple AGV Rover units coordinate for swarm projects?

Yes. Multiple units can be controlled from a host PC running coordination scripts, enabling multi-agent and swarm robotics curriculum. WLKATA does not publish a built-in multi-agent protocol; students implement coordination logic in Python or Arduino using the rover's standard communication interfaces.

How long does the battery last per charge?

Battery runtime is not formally published by WLKATA. Empirical reports from educational deployments suggest 1-3 hours of continuous mixed-use (motion plus arm operation) depending on payload weight and motion frequency. Verify with WLKATA prior to defining classroom session lengths.

Does the rover include LiDAR or other navigation sensors?

No. The base Rover Set is a chassis platform; sensors are added by educators or students as part of project work. The deck includes mounting holes designed for common sensors including ultrasonic rangefinders, IR sensors, RGB cameras, and small LiDAR units. This modular approach lets curriculum scale from beginner (no sensors) to advanced (SLAM with LiDAR).

Can the rover navigate autonomously without a tethered PC?

Yes, with appropriate programming. The extender box and onboard microcontroller can execute uploaded Python or Arduino programs for autonomous behavior. For closed-loop sensor-based navigation, students add sensors and implement perception logic. For predetermined path execution, programs can be uploaded and run untethered using the onboard battery.

Is the rover compatible with ROS or ROS2?

WLKATA publishes ROS2 packages for its robotic arms. For the rover platform specifically, ROS integration is community-supported rather than officially packaged; advanced users typically write custom ROS nodes that wrap the rover's serial command interface. University labs commonly extend the platform with custom ROS drivers as part of coursework.
