Acemate builds AI tennis robots that rally: the S10 and S10 Pro see your shot with 4K binocular cameras, cross the baseline on mecanum wheels to catch it, and return it with the speed, spin, and placement you choose in the app. Incubated by SwitchBot and named to TIME's Best Inventions of 2025, Acemate sells the S10 for everyday rally practice and the flagship S10 Pro with the 75 mph ACE+ SHOT system and five training modes. RoboticsSelect carries both robots and the official battery, poles, net, and wheel sets.
What makes Acemate different
A conventional tennis ball machine stands still and feeds. Acemate built a robot that plays: dual 4K cameras watch your shot the moment it leaves your racket, the base rolls across the baseline on mecanum wheels at up to 5 m/s to meet the ball, a telescopic net catches it at up to 170 cm, and the launcher sends it back with the pace, spin, and placement you set. When your ball lands in the target zone you chose in the app, the rally continues; when it misses, the robot feeds the next ball and the drill goes on. It is the closest thing to a hitting partner that fits in a car trunk.
Acemate grew out of SwitchBot, the smart-home hardware company, and was founded by AI visual engineers with backgrounds at Microsoft and Google. The S10 debuted at IFA 2025 and raised $2.4 million on Kickstarter before landing on TIME's Best Inventions list for 2025; the flagship S10 Pro followed at IFA 2026 with the ACE+ SHOT launch system, five training modes, and an AI opponent. Service runs through SwitchBot's global network, the Acemate Tennis app runs on iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Android, and every robot works on hard, clay, and grass courts in dry conditions.

Acemate at RoboticsSelect
We carry both Acemate robots. The Acemate S10 is the everyday rally partner: feeds from 6 to 60 mph with up to 60 revolutions per second of spin, topspin, backspin, flat, and lob shot types, an 80-ball hopper, a swappable 36 V 7 Ah battery good for about 2 to 3 hours, and a 39-pound aluminum body that folds for transport. The Acemate S10 Pro is the flagship, sold on pre-order with Acemate's estimated shipping start around October 30, 2026: ACE+ SHOT feeds at up to 75 mph, the hopper grows to 100 balls, Rally, Drill, Serve, Ball Machine, and Battle modes cover the whole session, 100+ preset drills come built in, and Ball Machine mode runs up to 5 hours per charge.
Acemate's accessories keep a robot on court: the Acemate Battery is the same quick-swap pack that ships in the box, so a charged spare doubles a session; the Gen 2 Telescopic Pole 4-pack and Collection Net replace the catching system; and the Mecanum Wheels set of 4 renews the omnidirectional drive after a few seasons of hard-court wear. Our S10 vs S10 Pro comparison puts the two robots side by side, and the tennis robot buying guide explains the specs.
