PONGBOT Training Robots Compared

PONGBOT sells three table tennis robots and two tennis ball machines. The table tennis robots differ by where they sit (on the table, clamped to it, or on the floor) and how much placement they automate; the tennis machines differ by whether they track the player. The tables below separate the two sports, with specifications from PONGBOT's product pages and manuals and prices from our store at PONGBOT's minimum advertised price. A dash marks a figure PONGBOT has not published.

All models below are from a single manufacturer. RoboticsSelect is an authorized PONGBOT dealer; specifications come from PONGBOT's official product pages and operation manuals.

The three table tennis robots share PONGBOT's two-wheel serving head, the same 2 to 15 m/s speed range, the same 30 to 90 balls per minute, standard 40+ balls, Bluetooth control from the PONGBOT app, and over-the-air updates. What separates them is where they sit and how much of the placement they automate. The Nova S Pro is the one you carry to the club and set down anywhere, including at the net for short-ball practice, with 9 spin types and manual positioning. The Omni S Pro and Halo S Pro step up to 100 rps with full 360-degree spin control, a 0.66-second spin switch, automatic oscillation, a 250-ball hopper with an integrated recovery net, and the E-Pad S touchscreen; the Omni clamps to the table end, the Halo stands on the floor and can serve from three positions.

The Pace S and Pace S Pro are the same ball machine: same launcher, same 150-ball hopper, same six positions, same battery. The Pro's price buys the tracking hardware and the software that uses it. Two P Station S units clip to the net at the doubles sidelines and a P Tag S clips to your collar, and the machine samples your position 100 times a second to place the next ball where you are not (Adaptive Rally), to feed as you recover to the middle (Recovery Trigger), and to play a scored match against an opponent modeled on 10,000+ real matches at any NTRP level from 1.0 to 7.0 (Match Challenge). If you want a reliable feeder with programmable drills and the T Serve S serve trigger, the Pace S is that machine; if you want the machine to react to you, the Pro is the only PONGBOT that does.

Which PONGBOT should you buy?

Nova S Pro

$259.99

Choose the Nova S Pro for portability and price: it weighs 4 kg, fits a backpack, sets up in under five seconds, and serves from anywhere on the table, including PONGBOT's near-net position for serve-return and short-ball work. You give up automatic oscillation and the recovery net, and spin tops out at 60 rps across 9 types.

View Nova S Pro

Omni S Pro

$1,039.99

Choose the Omni S Pro for a fixed training station at home or in a club: it clamps to the table end, serves 100 rps with 360-degree spin and a 0.66-second switch, oscillates automatically, recycles balls through its net into a 250-ball hopper, and comes with the E-Pad S touchscreen and 522+ drills.

Halo S Pro

$1,449.99

Choose the Halo S Pro when you want the Omni's serving performance from different angles: the wheeled floor stand serves from the center of the baseline or the middle of either side, which changes the geometry of every drill, and it carries the largest library at 702+ drills. It is the heaviest of the three at 11 kg and needs floor space beside the table.

View Halo S Pro

Pace S

$999.99

Choose the Pace S for programmable feeding at up to 80 mph with 396+ drills, six court positions, and 8 hours per battery, controlled from the app or the P Control S remote. Add the T Serve S sensor if you want serve-and-return sequences.

View Pace S

Pace S Pro

$1,199.99

Choose the Pace S Pro if you train alone and want the machine to respond to your movement: Adaptive Rally, Recovery Trigger, Match Challenge, and Arena of Dash all depend on the included P Station S and P Tag S tracking hardware, and the library grows to 564+ drills.

PONGBOT comparison FAQs

Can the Pace S be upgraded to the Pro's tracking features later?

PONGBOT lists the P Station S and P Tag S as Pace S Pro accessories only, and the Pro-only modes (Recovery Trigger, Adaptive Rally, Match Challenge, Arena of Dash) are not available on the Pace S. If tracking matters, buy the Pro.

Do the table tennis robots come with balls?

PONGBOT's box lists and manuals do not include balls. The 150 and 250 figures are hopper capacities; the robots use standard 40+ balls, which are sold separately.

Do I need the E-Pad S if I have the app?

The E-Pad S is included with the Omni S Pro and Halo S Pro, not sold as an option. It is a 5-inch touchscreen controller with its own battery that runs the built-in drills, custom programs, and trajectory previews without a phone, and it syncs custom drills from the app. The Nova S Pro uses the N-Control S remote and the app instead.

What warranty applies, and who handles support?

Table tennis robots: 1 year on the main unit, the squeeze wheel, and accessories, and 3 years on the core motors. Pace S and Pace S Pro: 12 months on the machine and 6 months on the battery. Repair centers are in California and Germany, replacement parts are free in warranty, and PONGBOT pays one-way shipping on covered repairs.
